  • A combination of curriculum programs are reviewed by and chosen for the school year by MBS Teachers and Principal Riggs.

  • State core standards are incorporated into teachers’ lesson plans in order to ensure students are ready for standardized testing in the Spring.

  • Memorial students take annual performance  tests which  assess across all academic subjects.  Each and every year, Memorial students place far ahead of the national averages  in every single subject.

  • Memorial places a strong emphasis on strong    literacy skills. By mastering the discipline of reading and writing, students can more easily  understand and excel in their other coursework and subjects.

SPECIALTY CLASSES

  • Chapel: The chapel program is designed to help each student experience a meaningful worship relationship with Jesus Christ. Prayer, singing, Bible teaching, Scripture recitation and presentations are just some of the elements included in our chapel program.

  • Physical Education: One of the objectives of our educational program at MBS is to help develop our students both mentally and physically through wholesome physical activities and recreation. Consequently, we require all students to participate in our organized P.E. program here at MBS.

  • Music  and Choir:   Students attend  music class each week and  learn the joys    of embracing a traditional form of expression and  art. In addition to weekly practice, our children's choir participates in and often leads almost  every major event at Memorial Baptist.
